The inspiration for this work came from my own experience playing rugby and witnessing the energy and camaraderie that exists within a team. I wanted to capture the raw power and intensity of the scrum, which is one of the most iconic and recognizable moments in rugby.
Ultimately, my goal was to create a painting that not only celebrates the sport of rugby, but also explores the human qualities that make it such a compelling and inspiring game.
